Privado welcomes Nishant Bhajaria as Head of Privacy Engineering CoE

Why I Joined Privado: A Personal Account

Hey there, folks! It’s been quite a journey for me, coming from big names like Google, Uber, and Meta. But now, it’s time for a change. I’m thrilled to be teaming up with Vaibhav Antil, Jasdeep Cheema, Prashant Mahajan, and the amazing crew at Privado to establish their Privacy Engineering Center of Excellence.

When it comes to making decisions, whether in your personal life or career, there are two key factors at play: replication and remedy.

You see, I’ve spent the last decade diving into challenging situations at major corporations, tackling issues related to data protection and privacy practices. I’ve learned valuable lessons along the way, from Netflix’s culture of “freedom and responsibility” to building trust at Uber’s Privacy Center.

So, why the move to Privado?

  • Why not help upcoming companies get privacy right from the start?
  • Why not create a platform that guides engineers and legal teams in building privacy into the core of their operations?
  • Why not shift the industry towards proactive risk detection in code, rather than reactive measures?

My experience, coupled with insights as a consumer, has led me to believe that companies can benefit greatly from a privacy-first approach. Privado’s innovative tools focus on early risk detection in code, preventing potential data breaches down the line.

At Privado’s Privacy Engineering Center of Excellence, we’re dedicated to helping leaders navigate risks, shape strategies, and foster collaboration across various teams.

Our goal is to create a collaborative environment where companies can develop tailored solutions without the hassle of trial and error. This approach not only benefits our clients but also contributes to a wider industry consensus on privacy.

As we gear up for the launch of the Privacy Engineering Center of Excellence, we’ve been hosting informative sessions for privacy professionals, aiming to enhance awareness and skills in privacy automation.

For me, working with Privado is a return to the close-knit environment I’ve missed. With exciting prospects ahead, I look forward to this new chapter with optimism.
