Behind the Flame: Payton | Blog

Welcome to Behind the Flame, a series created to showcase our incidentios.

Hey there! I’m Payton Andrews, Enterprise Account Executive here at incident.io.

Q: What has been your favorite incident.io memory so far?

Let me tell you about my first week when we all went out for karaoke. It was such a blast! I had just started and barely knew anyone, but that night really broke the ice and made me feel right at home with the team.

Q: What is the value that most resonates with you?

Win Together. This value really speaks to me because it’s all about teamwork and support. We don’t have that cutthroat “every man for himself” mentality here. We all work together, share tips, and help each other succeed, especially on those tough deals.

Q: What is your favorite benefit?

Hands down, it’s the First Friday of the month. It’s such a unique perk that gives you that extra time to relax, recharge, and unwind. It’s like getting 12 bonus holidays a year!

Q: What is your favorite Slack channel?

#wins is my go-to channel. It’s so rewarding to see it light up, especially when it’s your own deal. The rush of excitement and celebration is contagious, and it really boosts morale across the entire company.

Q: What advice would you give to yourself on your first day?

If I could go back, I’d tell myself to be patient and give myself time to learn. Transitioning to a new role can be challenging, but it’s important to be kind to yourself and allow room for growth.

Q: What advice would you give to candidates interviewing?

Do your homework and come prepared. Show us that you understand who we are and what we’re looking for. And most importantly, be yourself. Our culture is special, and we want to find like-minded individuals who will thrive here.

Q: How would you describe the culture in three words?

Fun, exciting, unique.

Q: Which incident.io employee would you want to be stuck in a lift with?

I’d choose Anna Hosey, our Office & People Coordinator. She’s a blast to be around, and I know we’d make the most of being stuck in that elevator!

Q: What does the first Friday of the month mean to you?

It’s my day to relax, do some Pilates, spend time with my dog, and catch up on some much-needed sleep.

Q: What are you most looking forward to with incident.io this year and beyond?

I’m excited to push myself further in my sales career and see what new heights I can reach. I’m also looking forward to welcoming new team members and leaders who will help us elevate our game.

Q: What is something that you are excited or proud to have worked on?

Closing the deal with G Research was a huge highlight for me. It was a challenging journey, but the teamwork and support I received from everyone involved made it all worth it.

Q: What is something that surprised you when you joined?

I was pleasantly surprised by how willing and supportive our engineering team is. Their expertise and willingness to help have been invaluable in my role.

Q: If you were to join another team for the day, what team would you join and why?

I’d love to spend a day with the People & Talent team. They always bring such positive energy and good vibes, and I think it would be a fun experience to be part of their team for a day.

Q: Why do you think companies need a reliable incident management tool?

Every company faces challenges and issues at some point. Having a reliable incident management tool is crucial in today’s digital world to ensure smooth operations and quick resolutions.

Q: What is something special or unique about the Sales team here at incident.io in comparison to other companies?

Our sales team stands out for its culture of collaboration and support. We’re all in it together, and the willingness to help and uplift each other sets us apart from other teams.
