A Community For Sharing, Growing, And Learning

It is an undeniable reality that the IT industry, including IT Service Management (ITSM), is predominantly male-dominated. This gender gap presents challenges and obstacles for women working in the industry. However, new spaces like Women of ITSM are emerging, providing a platform for women to share, learn, and grow together.

Women of ITSM was created and is led by Lucy Grimwade (Service Management Consultant) and Sophie Hussey (ITSM and Leadership Consultant and Mentor). In a recent episode of the Ticket Volume podcast, they discussed the importance of creating this platform and the current state of the IT industry, especially in the ITSM environment.

Women of ITSM aims to be a safe and supportive space for women in ITSM to share their experiences and knowledge. The platform was born out of the need to support and empower women in the industry, as highlighted by Sophie and Lucy’s personal experiences.

The platform is open to all women in ITSM, regardless of their level of experience. It aims to demystify the IT world and showcase the diverse roles and opportunities available in the industry. Male allies are also welcome to join and contribute to building a more inclusive and collaborative Service Management community.

Members of Women of ITSM will have access to various resources, including templates, tutorials, and a job board. Paid members will receive additional benefits such as mentoring, coaching, and exclusive content like interviews and webinars. The platform is set to launch in the coming days, offering a wealth of resources for its community members.

Overall, Women of ITSM provides a supportive and empowering environment for women in ITSM to connect, learn, and grow.
